Neural networks can be used throughout a business to analyse a wide range of data types, including customer data, call data and payment histories, in both relative and absolute terms. Developed using specific historical data for training purposes, models use their intrinsic ability to differentiate patterns and characteristics. Unique profiles can be created at an individual level and evolve with ongoing usage.
Neural networks differ from competing technologies in that they can learn. Learning by example is the most common form of neural network, simply by showing it examples of what it should learn. For example, a neural network can learn by example how to distinguish fraudulent application details, in combination within call behaviour, from non-fraudulent customers.
